GET MORE OUT OF YOUR CAMERA

We start by revisiting the exposure triangle in more detail, adding additional topics such as measuring exposure and dynamic range. You will learn how to read a histogram, and how to use it to take better photos.

There’s a whole host of new skills for you to learn, including exposure compensation and back button focus. We look further at understanding, modifying and adding light.

Other topics include the do’s and don’ts of printing your photos, lens choice and digital back up strategies. Not forgetting a whole host of creative shooting techniques.

What photos would you love to capture of your family? The intermediate photography course will help you achieve them.

SUCCESS

STORIES

Rated 5* on both Facebook and Google.

I recently completed the beginners course with Lyndsey and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Lyndsey is clearly very knowledgeable and she was an excellent teacher. She really made sure that we’d understood everything she was teaching us during the session and doing the homework really reinforced this for me. I’ve come away from the course with lots of new skills to practice.

JESS

Beginners Photography Course

For the last three Mondays I’ve spent my evenings learning the basics of photography. I thoroughly enjoyed every one of the sessions; loved learning how my camera works and easy composing tips. Lyndsey was very clear and patient, set homework and gave some lovely feedback and suggestions that were helpful. If you are looking for an engaging course with a friendly teacher, I would totally recommend this one. You will learn so much and won’t regret it!
GAELLE

Beginners Photography Course

I have recently completed the 101 course and it was fantastic! Lyndsey was extremely helpful & knowledgeable. In three weeks I’ve gained some really useful knowledge to be able to understand my camera settings, which is what I’d hoped to achieve from the course. 100% worth it! Thanks Lyndsey.

DO YOU HAVE

QUESTIONS?

Do I need any extra kit?

No, no extra kit is essential. We will talk about some bits that you might find you want to add to your collection going forwards, but none of it is needed for the course itself.

Do I know Enough for THE iNTERMEDIATE?

If you’ve done the beginners course with me, we’ll have covered everything you need to know before moving to this level. Some people go straight from beginners to intermediate, others choose to spend a few months consolidating their skills first. If you’re not sure, get in touch and we can talk it through or arrange for a refresher.

HOW LONG DOES THe COURSE LAST?

The intermediate photography course lasts for 3 weeks. Sessions normally run for 3 consecutive weeks, on a weekday evening at 8pm.

WHAT IF I MISS A SESSION?

The course is 3 weeks long, and each week builds on knowledge from the previous week. I really encourage you to do everything you can to attend each week. That said, I realise that life happens and you might not be able to make one of the sessions. If you let me know in advance I can record the session for you, subject to the agreement of the other people on the call. Alternatively, you are welcome to take the missed session the next time I run it (for intermediate classes they run on demand so may be a few months later).

DO YOU OFFER 121 TRAINING?

Yes.  121 sessions are suitable for any level of photographer and can be tailored to meet your need. Sessions cost £50 for a 1 hour 121 session, with a minimum commitment of 2 hours. At the moment all 121 sessions are taking place on Zoom.

Discounts are available for ongoing mentoring sessions (minimum 3 sessions).

DO YOU SELL GIFT VOUCHERS?

Yes. Gift vouchers are available for any course of any combination of courses. You can reserve a place on a course for a recipient, or you can allow the recipient to contact me to arrange their place. Gift vouchers have a 12 month expiry date. If needed, a e-gift voucher can be sent to you, or a physical voucher posted either to you or the recipient.
